The John Isner, Nicolas Mahut tennis match at Wimbledon was the longest in the history of tennis by a good margin. The match lasted over 11 hours -- the fifth set alone over 8 hours. The game was halted twice because of darkness. At Wimbledon, to win a tie-breaker, a player needs to win by two games in the fifth set. Isner won 70-68 in the tiebreaker.
