Omar Thornton, (CBS News) — MANCHESTER, Conn. (CBS / WFSB / AP) Omar Thornton, Hartford Distributors stockroom driver who supposedly went on a Tuesday morning shooting that left nine dead and several injured, was never a violent man, according to his former -girlfriend.
“There has never been aggressive, that I know,” Thornton’s ex-girlfriend told the CBS affiliate WFSB. “I do not know what happened inside it.”
Several workers in the alcoholic drink distribution center shot inside the business at around 7 am, police said. Police sources said the man, whom his co-worker identified as Thornton, was found deadly shot inside the building before 9:00 a.m., according to CBS affiliate WFSB.
The State Bureau of Firearms Omar shows that Thornton bought two guns in January. Hartford Dealers said employees Thornton had been at work for about two or three years. John Hollis of Connecticut Teamsters went with company officials on the scene, and said the gunman had been summon to a disciplinary hearing.
