Miranda Lambert's 'The House That Built Me' Is CMA Song of the Year: 'The House That Built Me' was named CMA Song of the Year, which seemed a good omen for Miranda Lambert to win a few of her own awards later in the evening.
The Song of the Year award is given to the songwriters, and after Miranda, decked out in a silver skirt and black bustier, led writers Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin to the stage, she offered, "I just want to say thank you for writing such a beautiful song, and thank [producer] Scott Hendricks for finding it."
