Manny Pacquiao and his opponent on Saturday, Antonio MargaritoAntonio Margarito weighed in at the Cowboys Stadium on Friday. Pacquiao's weight was recorded at a surprising 144.6 pounds, six pounds lower than Margarito. "I'm not worried," Pacquiao said. "That's what we did for training, train hard. My weight came down from what it was to make me faster".
Trainer Freddie RoachFreddie Roach confirmed that Pacman was training to be faster than Margarito. Meanwhile, Margarito refuted suggestions that he was dehydrated. "It's very good, I'm very strong," he said. "They can say what they want. I feel very strong."
The November 13 fight will see Pacquiao take on Margarito for the vacant WBC Light Middlewieght Title. The 31-year-old Filipino professional boxer is a seven-division world champion, the first boxer in history to win nine world titles in seven different weight divisions. In February, he was named "Fighter of the Decade" for the 2000s by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA).
