Boxer Jeff Lacy’s Brother Hydra Lacy Suspect - First off what type of name is Hydra? Is he part of COBRA?

You may recall Jeff Lacy was an up and coming fighter with big star potential, an undefeated record until he ran into Joe Calzaghe who was realivtely unkown in the states at that time.

Lacy was big favorite, but was embarrassed and beat down by Calzaghe in a virtual shut out. He was never the same after that and his star fell as quickly as it rose.

It got so bad for Lacy, he lost to Roy Jones Jr (the old washed up version).

Things aren’t looking up in the Lacy family as his brother is now a suspect in murdering two police officers while a third officer is in critical condition.

Hydra Lacy, the 39-year old brother of former super middleweight titlist Jeff Lacy, is suspected of shooting three police officers this morning in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Reports say that Lacy is currently at home and being surrounded by authorities.

The local Fox affiliate MyFox reports that Lacy has a criminal past, having been arrested in 1988 for grand theft auto, aggravated assault and resisting arrest. Lacy was in prison for three years, before having a 15-year stint for sexual battery and kidnapping.
