ESPY Awards 2010:Best Championship Performance
Best Championship Performance
Shaun White won the gold in the half-pipe -- and did so with only one run. His score: 46.8 out of 50. Everyone else had two chances to top his score. No one could. He did his second run, for fun, and got an even better score: 48.4, easily beating the past world record of 46.1.
Anthony Johnson was pretty much off the map until this performance, guaranteeing Montana a spot in the March Madness. He hit the game-winning shot with eleven seconds left in the game. He had, pretty much by himself, erased a 20 point halftime deficit. He scored Montana's last 21 points and had 42 in the game, a Big Sky Conference Championship record.
Drew Brees was the MVP of the Super Bowl, throwing a pair of touchdowns, completing 32 passes (tying a Super Bowl record) and having a quarterback rating of 114.5.
At the World Swimming Championships, Phelps won five gold medals and silver. He set two individual records and two relay records.
