Plane said to carry Russian spies lands in Vienna
(Reuters) - A plane reported by U.S. media to be carrying Russian agents involved in a spy swap with the United States landed in Vienna on Friday, Reuters witnesses said.
The Vision Airlines jet landed in the Austrian capital at 0915 GMT and parked beside an aircraft marked with the Russian flag, two Reuters photographers said.
A gangway was in place between the two aircraft but no passengers could be seen.
Some of the agents were shown on NBC television boarding the Vision Airlines jet at New York's LaGuardia Airport on Thursday night.
Austria's interior ministry, foreign ministry and Vienna airport have all said they can neither confirm nor deny any information on the topic.
