Channel of Chicago Milwaukee BLizzard Weather
Channel of Chicago Milwaukee BLizzard Weather - Various advisories and watches are hoisted for much of southeast Wisconsin including Milwaukee and Waukesha counties Monday through Wednesday.
It is becoming more evident that a long duration and significant snowfall accumulation event is going to take shape over the next 3 days in parts of southeast Wisconsin.
A winter weather advisory is in effect from Monday morning through mid-afternoon Tuesday for southeastern Wisconsin.
The first round of snow will arrive in earnest Monday afternoon or evening and last into Tuesday. This first intial round is showing the potential for 3-7" of accumulation with the greatest totals along the lakeshore. An east/northeast wind flow will help to create lake effect snow showers along with lake enhanced snowfall as the first system moves through.
Then on Tuesday, lake effect snow showers are possible with the potential to drop a few more inches of snow to areas impacted by the snow bands.
It should be noted lake effect snow is extemely difficult to forecast given the narrow and banded nature, impacting only localized areas.
