Miss Nebraska 2011: Teresa Scanlan Miss Nebraska - The Cornhusker state has had it’s first win ever at the Miss America pageant. Besides for being a historical moment in this way it was also a historical moment because Teresa Scanlan was the youngest winner in 90 years. The youngest winner was Margaret Gorman, age 15 way back in 1921 at the first pageant. Miss Nebraska 2011 has made the Cornhusker state quite happy.
Miss Nebraska 2011 picked up her new title as Miss America 2011 on Saturday night. This all happened in Planet Hollywood casino-resort in Las Vegas. Beautiful people and beautiful clothes with some interesting talents wewre in attendance. Miss Nebraska 2011 is sure to do her new crown justice.
She takes over the crown from 22 year old Caress Cameron. She is not going to squander her scholarship money either. She has big ambitions to go to law school as well as become a judge after law school. We look forward to seeing what you do with yourself Miss Nebraska 2011.

The host, Christopher Kimball is so “not ready for prime time TV” that he is wicked good. I love his dry humor. I have learned a lot to improve my cooking by watching the shows and have even subscribed to their “Cook’s Illustrated” magazine. I can’t get enough.
Miss America 2011 Prelim Swimsuit Competition Photos Winners - The Miss American 2011 competition is well underway this week at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, with three nights of preliminary competition completed. The ladies wore black Swim n Sport bikinis for the all important Lifestyle & Fitness category.
Winning $1000 in the Preliminary Night 3 swimsuit round was the lovely Miss Oklahama – Emoly West. Tuesday and Wednesday night winners were Jalee Fuselier Miss Hawaii and Ashley Davis Miss Alabama. On a side note: Fuselier was named Miss Hawaii’s Outstanding Teen 2005.

On Saturday January 15th, a new Miss America will be crowned. Miss Virginia – the current reigning Miss America – will have to give up her throne and her all important crown. But who will be the new winner, the new gal about town, the new woman who will rise up from all 50 contestants and be crowned the new Miss America? Who will be the 90th woman named Miss America?
There have already been three days of preliminary competition and there are already some front runners! So far:
Miss Nebraska won for talent (she played piano).
Miss Oklahoma got kudos for Lifestyle and Fitness aka swimsuit.
Miss Rhode Island and Miss Alabama did well as did Miss North Carolina and Miss Hawaii.
